Come enjoy a relaxing getaway in California's True Wine Country! After a short Southwest flight to Sacramento, rent a car for a short 30 minute drive South to Lodi, a relaxing location that is centralized to everything adventurous in northern california!

Home to almost 50 wineries, Lodi was once an unrecognized appelation in the world of wine yet much of the wine produced was used as a high-quality filler in hundreds of wines in Napa and Sonoma for decades. Unsatisfied with the lack of recognition growers were receiving for their high-quality grapes, local growers began producing their own labels and putting this town on the map. Now, after more than 157 years of producing wine non-stop, Lodi now produced move than 600,000 tons of grapes and comprises more than 20% of California's total winegrape production (more than Napa and Sonoma combined!). In fact, Lodi produces more Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Zinfandel than any other region in California!

If wine interests you, then Lodi is definately the place to visit! Begin your vacation at Lodi's world reknowned Wine and Roses Bed & Breakfast Spa. Spend a day at the spa, travel around the area wine tasting, and enjoy a four-star dinner at the Wine and Roses Restaurant! Wake up the next morning and drive just 5 minutes from the B&B to the Lodi Airport and continue your adventure in a beautiful 160hp Piper Warrior with brand new paint and interior, available for rent to any member! From there, the decisions are endless! You can continue your wine tasting journey (as long as you plan on staying the night of course) in Napa or Sonoma after a quick 30 minute flight in the warrior. If you have bought and drank about all the wine you can handle, Try a round of Golf at Monterey's Pebble Beach, or shop in Carmel (just 45 minutes away in the warrior). If you plan on traveling up here in the winter months, take an absolutely breathtaking flight over the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains and land at South Lake Tahoe (just 45 minutes away in the warrior). From there, gamble, ski, snowboard, tube, or build a snowman!

One of the greatest benefits of flying in Northern California is how easy it is! Northern California is one of the easiest places to fly an airplane! You won't really have to worry much about endless radio chatter, overly busy controllers, or airspace! We don't really have any of these things (with the exception of SFO Class B, and the occasional TFR of course)!

When your Norcal Adventure is over, stop off at the Capital on your way back to Sacramento Airport. Witness the phenomenal architecture, shop, and grab a bite to eat at Hard Rock Cafe!

Our Piper Warrior is available for scheduling by any member at anytime in our online scheduling system! The airplane is based at Lodi Municpal Airport (1O3), and any golden wings key will work in the airplane. Lodi Municipal Airport is located at 23987 North Highway 99. Use good judgement when near the airport both on the ground and in the air, as there is extensive ultralight and parachute operations!
